Café Co-ordinator / Barista
Location: 360 Fitness Club, Tamworth
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (32.5 hours per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 12:30pm
Potential for Full-Time Hours: Additional hours may be available during summer for the right applicant.
About the Role
Nourish Café is an integral part of the 360 Fitness Club experience, providing members and guests with quality coffee, nutritious meals, smoothies and snacks in a welcoming environment.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Café Coordinator / Barista to take ownership of the café's day-to-day operations while delivering exceptional customer service to our members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Café Operations
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages
Create and prepare smoothies, light meals, snacks and café offerings
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
Ensure the café is presented to a high standard at all times
Administration & Management
Manage café stock levels and place orders with suppliers
Assist with menu planning, design and seasonal offerings
Develop and maintain café procedures and systems
Manage and coordinate staff rosters
Customer Service
Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests
Build positive relationships with members, staff and visitors
Contribute to the welcoming community atmosphere that 360 Fitness Club is known for
Cleaning & Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of food preparation, service and dining areas
Complete daily cleaning schedules and operational checklists
Ensure equipment is maintained and operating correctly
About You
Essential Requirements
Proven barista experience
Previous experience working in a café environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Experience ordering and managing stock
Experience creating and designing café menus
Previous rostering or supervisory experience
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
